We're back and ready to update!!!!!

Well, it has been quite some time since we updated our page.....and a lot has happened since then!

Josh was offered a one year full-time position at the Post Office and is working here and there at Perkins. He also has been coaching Cristian's soccer and baseball teams the last couple of years.

Mandy left Tremblay's for a new job opportunity that did not end well, so she went back to school last year and graduated from UW-Barron County with her associates degree. She also transferred to UW-Superior and is planning on double majoring in English and History both for Secondary Education. She has also been involved in coaching at HHS for both cheerleading and softball the last two years.

Cristian is now in 3rd grade! He is still participating in hockey, baseball, and soccer. We have begun the hockey season and are hoping that in our travels friends and family will be able to see some games this winter! He even did some assisting with the Ballet Recital last year when they needed a "Prince Charming" for the "Enchanted Forest"!

Ava is now almost 4 years old. She is involved in her 2nd year of ballet and had her first recital last year! She did so well! She has also participated in the Learn to Skate program at the Sports Center this year and we are hoping to get her in the Learn to Play Hockey program this year!

Updates

Cristian has almost completed his year of 1st grade. He did very well in school this year! His reading is progressing very well and he even is having a poem he wrote published!!! Congrats to Cristian!!! He started taking piano lessons this winter, but we've stopped for the last few months because we've been so busy! Hockey went really good for him this year also! His skating really picked up and he is beginning to enjoy it more and more!

Ava is doing so awesome! She is quite a character! Her new thing now is to tell us "You broke my heart." We don't know where that one came from, but she sure likes to say it! She loves to play with Cristian and rough houses with him all of the time. She is also becoming interested in sports and we are hoping to get her on skates next year and possibly dance if she is old enough in time. We also found out that we can enroll her for the January semester of head start this fall.

Josh is still working for Perkins and enjoying working as a relief carrier at the Post Office. He is also coaching Cristian's baseball team and signed up to coach soccer again. He really enjoys working with the little kids!

Mandy is still working at Tremblay's. Her first year coaching at HHS started out rocky with the first Cheer season, but by the end of this school year she really enjoyed it! She even got involved with the softball team as an assistant coach!

Family updates

We are all doing well. It has been a really long time since I posted on here. Ava is speaking more and more words everyday. She even messed up her fish game the other day and while picking them up kept repeating, "Shit." We need to take care of that one. Cristian is playing soccer right now and started the 1st grade. He is really enjoying school and having Josh coach soccer again. Josh has been coaching baseball and soccer this year while still working at Perkins. Now he has been hired at the Post Office for a temporary relief carrier position and is awaiting paperwork and training. Mandy is still working at Tremblay's and was hired as the HHS Cheerleading coach. We are all super busy trying to fit everything together and making things run smoothly around the house!!!

Ava's 15 month check up & Ear piercing

Ava had her 15 month check up on February 19th. She is growing little by little. Her height was 31 inches tall and she weighed 20.25 pounds. So we can finally turn the carseat around! She also got her shots which hurt a lot! She cried longer than usual.

We also got her ears pierced in the middle of February. She didn't cry as much as when she got her shots. We've been cleaning them and she has been very good about not touching them. She looks so cute! Like a big girl.

Pictures of the kids

Random Pictures of the kids from over the last few months!

Long over due updates!!!!

I know it's been a really long time since we posted any news about the kids on here so there is lots to update. Ava began walking in October and has been a little terror ever since, getting into EVERYTHING!!!! She is so cute though when she walks!! She now has five teeth. We thought she was never going to get any, but the first one appeared and they have been coming in ever since. She likes to say hi, hey, tries to say kitty, and waves bye bye. Dancing is one of her favorite things to do. She really likes hard rock for some reason. She and the cat get along great now and she hugs and kisses him often. Ava likes to climb on the couch and sit down with us at night. She has begun to pucker her lips to give us kisses and loves to hug Cristian. Her one year appointment went really well. She was around 31 inches tall and weighed 19.5 pounds. She is very petite, but at least is on the growth charts. Her hair is still blond and is growing. She likes to have her hair put in a little ponytail on top of her head because is keeps her hair out of her eyes. She plays with it almost all day.

Cristian is busy playing hockey. He started skating the day after our soccer party for the end of the season. He has scored 3 goals playing one on one during practice. During a game the other night at practice, he scored his first goal while playing defense. He was very happy about that!! School is going very well for him and he really enjoys the computer lab, coloring in class, and going to the library. His growth is on the opposite end of Ava. He is tall with a huskier build.

Both kids had birthday parties. Ava really liked her cake!!!

We spent Thanksgiving in Trego with Jay. Mandy, Dan, and Jay all went hunting and Dan was the only one who ended up with a small doe.

For Christmas we went to Forest Lake. We opened gifts and had dinner there. Then we drove back to Hayward on Christmas day and opened the presents Santa had left here for the kids.

Ava the Lion Tamer!!!!

Josh took this picture on his cell phone. Ava is playing with our cat Garfield who is still a baby too. We think she looks like a little lion tamer for the circus with her little spatula!!
